Indoor Playground

Everyday Jordyn stands at the backdoor or by the window and looks out longingly. Right before it got cold she started to enter the stage of interest for the outdoors. On warm days she loves to run up and down our driveway or across the sidewalk until she is exhausted. It breaks my heart that she doesn't understand why she can't go out to play.

Over the weekend we thought what better way to release some energy than to bring the outside in! So Jon pulled her slide inside and put it in the living room for her to play on. For the past 4 days, she has played on that thing non-stop! We put a blanket over it to create a fort sometimes and other times she will just sit on the platform with a toy and talk to herself for 10 minutes or more before sliding down again. We also put her chair at the bottom of the slide and she loves to jump into the chair after sliding down. This has been a lifesaver for us! You just have to break the rules sometimes!
